KCOE Results - Client Case Studies

KCOE has been actively coaching and mentoring the members of the Cardiovascular Surgery Value Stream in implementing Operational Excellence using the cultural change model for approximately 2 years. Members share their insights on what it means to develop a culture of “mutual trust and respect” and discuss how it has helped the value stream improve its performance in a sustainable fashion.

Phoenix Sintered Metals is a family owned powered metal facility in Brockway who has been engaging KCOE since 2009. Phoenix is moving on their journey toward world-class by implementing the KCOE System of Operational Excellence. They have implemented OE tools such as the balanced scorecard, problem solving, 5S workplace organization, and the KCOE safety system.

Cascading the OE system from Overly in Greensburg as stated above (on the Greensburg video).  This particular video includes testimonials from KCOE's development of Reynosa's balanced scored coupled with problem solving re-training, and the establishment of the daily meeting with the leadership team in Mexico.

KCOE teamed up with the leadership teams at Excela Health Systems hospitals in Latrobe, Greensburg, and Mount Pleasant Pennsylvania to implement cascading daily meetings and problem solving throughout the health system.

Improvement project within the lab starting with evaluating the current state, coaching the team on lean initiatives, and propping those techniques up with individual and team problem solving.  Coaching and training included value stream mapping, fact management, daily meeting, problem solving, and basic master planning.
